Terms and Conditions

1. Delivery Information:

We will endeavor to deliver the products to you within the lead-time shown for each product at the time of purchase, to your stated delivery address, where this is practical.

However, products are subject to availability and delays may sometimes occur that are outside of our control. Any dates specified for delivery are therefore approximate only.

If delivery is delayed for more than 28 days, you have the right to contact us and refuse to accept the products.

In these circumstances, we will refund any money paid by you for those products and any delivery monies you have been charged. However, we will not be responsible for any other losses, costs, damages or charges that you may suffer if we delay in supplying or do not supply those products.

At the time of delivery you will be required to validly sign-off on the delivery of the products, after which time the products become your sole responsibility. If no one is available to accept the delivery you will receive a written note to advise that a delivery has been attempted.

Our pricing structure for deliveries is as follows:

Ireland  (signature, tracking and insurance for up to €320 per package) – €6.00

Delivery Times are as follows (estimated):
Within the island of Ireland 3-7 working days

2. Returns

In the event that you receive a faulty item, Sarah Young Opticians will refund the cost of the item upon receipt of the faulty goods.

You must let us know the product is faulty within 24 hours of receiving it.

Should you wish to return a faulty item purchased online you can do so by:

  • Simply pop into the Sarah Young Opticians, 24 Castle Street, Carlow with your items and receipt. A member of our team will be happy to exchange or refund your items free of charge.
  • Send your return items to: Sarah Young Opticians, 24 Castle Street, Carlow.

3. Pricing and Payments

Once you have paid via your PayPal account, your account will be charged.  If we are unable to ship your items to you for some reason, we will refund the value of the items that were not sent. This refund will be made to the payment method that you used for the order.

4. Pricing and VAT

Prices are subject to change without notice. Prices are inclusive of VAT (where applicable) at the applicable rate for the country where the goods are being shipped to. Prices of individual products exclude delivery fees. The total cost of the order includes the VAT inclusive cost of the products ordered in addition to any applicable delivery fees. Delivery fees are clearly marked when accessing your Shopping Bag or when choosing to Checkout.

5. Accuracy

We endeavor to display accurate pricing, product descriptions & information, images, and availability as of the time that the information is submitted for display onto the website. However, because of lighting differences and differences with monitors, the actual colour of the products you receive may differ from what you see on screen. In addition, information can occasionally be entered erroneously on the system. In this case, we reserve the right to correct information, such as prices and promotions, which have been published on Sarah Young Opticians website. Information about sizing is as accurate as possible.

6. Availability

Delivery of goods is subject to availability of the goods themselves. And while we strive to ensure that availability is accurately reflected on the website, stock levels can change between the time an order is placed and the time of expected shipment. The processing of a payment does not obligate Sarah Young Opticians to fulfill the goods in question, should the items not be available. In this case, we will contact you as soon as possible to let you know about the lack of availability and you will not be charged for out-of-stock items.

7. Changes after placing an order

Unfortunately, at this time, we do not accept changes to orders after they have been placed. Therefore, please be sure that your order is correct before confirming your order.
